A simple trick to get you to the top of Google
For most small to medium businesses, SEO is often shrouded in mystery. There seem to be countless, ever-changing elements to take into account, from building links to writing content and everything in-between. My personal experience with SEO has taught me that simple works best.
Now, I'm not suggesting that ranking in Google is easy; it's not! However, one of the articles I wrote for Inspired Adventures is not only ranking at the top of Google, it's also got its very own featured snippet.
How? Well, essentially: the search query is a question, and Google has determined that this article contains the answer.
Interestingly, other websites listed on the first page of the SERPs appear to have higher a Domain Authority than Inspired Adventures, yet the proof is in the result.
So even if you don't have a 60+ Domain Authority, you can still get a win like this.
This is a very simple yet effective way to get Google's attention and drive more traffic to your site.
With a solid link building strategy, and content that answers a question which hasn't already been answered somewhere online (that's the real challenge these days), you can compete in the online landscape.
Results like this may not last forever, but they certainly drive a lot of traffic in a short period of time, which in turn helps improve your rankings overall.
